Glamorgan\'s Aneurin Donald hailed his side\'s bowers after the Welsh county stormed to another victory in the T20 Blast, by six wickets.
Glamorgan proved too strong for opponents Gloucestershire thanks to a couple of early wickets in the hosts' innings as well as 48 not out from Donald and Colin Ingram's blistering 64.
After the game Donald claimed it was those early wickets – with Dale Steyn removing Hamish Marshall and Timm van der Gugten getting rid of Michael Klinger – that set up the victory.
Donald said: "There are a lot of stats suggesting that if you take three wickets in the batting powerplay you normally go on to win. Fair play to the bowlers for setting it up for us early on.
"I was delighted to be there at the end. Bristol is a tough place to visit and we are delighted with the result."
On his partnership with Ingram, which was the fulcrum on which the Glamorgan chase was built, Donald admitted his batting partner made life easy for him out in the middle.
The pair added 89 in eight overs to all-but seal the win.
Donald added: "I love batting with Colin Ingram. He keeps hitting the ball out of the park so all I have to do is knock it around."
Home captain Michael Klinger, meanwhile, agreed that the first few overs had cost Gloucestershire and was keen for his side to put the defeat behind them.
He said: "It has been a tough week for us. We haven't executed our skills well enough in this competition or the Royal London Cup and the only remedy is hard work.
"We lost the game in the two batting powerplays. Their's wasn't great, but we were 30-odd for three at the end of six overs and that makes life difficult.
"There were some poor shots, including my own. But we are also diving over balls in the field, which is not like us. We badly need to win our next game and restore some confidence."
Glamorgan now travel to Canterbury to take on Kent Spitfires in the Royal London One-Day Cup on Sunday, where they will hope to continue their impressive form. The Welsh county have now won three out of four T20 Blast matches and five in their last six games in all competitions.
