Following the successful experience enjoyed by schools visiting the recent Champions Trophy matches at the SSE SWALEC, Glamorgan Cricket are offering schools a free opportunity to enjoy a T20 match with all of its exciting atmosphere and activities.
Tickets are available for matches against Hampshire on Friday 7th July and versus Essex Eagles on Friday 21st July.
Simply choose which of the two dates during term time suit the school and then book your tickets, stating the number of tickets required via our ticketing email: tickets@glamorgancricket.co.uk
Whilst it will be permissible for parents to attend with the group, this opportunity is primarily for children to attend and the following will be expected: -
- Any school group should have a 1:7 adult to child ratio
- This means for every 35 children 7 adults can attend
- Adults involved in the free offer are supervisory and responsible for the children
- All tickets are in the Family Stand i.e. no alcohol.
Mark Frost Community & Development Manager at Glamorgan Cricket & Cricket Wales, said:
“Following the success of the school visits during the recent Champions Trophy, we have decided to offer free tickets to schools to two matches in this year’s NatWest T20 Blast.
“T20 cricket is the ideal format to continue engaging with the children who loved watching the Champions Trophy in Cardiff, as well as introduce new children to fun and exciting cricket.
“Hopefully this fantastic opportunity will inspire more children to take up this great game.”
