Glamorgan 2nd XI fell agonisingly short of back-to-back T20 titles as they lost to Derbyshire in the final by five runs.

After dispatching Hampshire in the semi-finals at Wormsley Cricket Club, a young Glamorgan outfit took on a strong Derbyshire side in the final.

Derbyshire scored 192/3 in the first innings with Club captain Leus du Plooy, fresh off of a County Championship century the day before, striking 68 and fellow first-team regular Anuj Dal unbeaten on 58.

A valiant effort from the Glamorgan batting unit saw them bowled out for 187 needing six off the last ball to win. Will Smale struck 44 while skipper Callum Taylor scored 41 in the run chase.

Hear from Taylor after the result below.
