Glamorgan County Cricket Club are pleased to announce that our Academy player Jack Hope-Bell has been selected to join the England U19 squad.
England U19s, who are currently playing a 5-match Youth ODI series against Bangladesh U19s, have called up young Welsh talent Jack Hope-Bell for the final two matches of the series in Beckenham on 12 September and 14 September.
The right-hand top-order batter, who plays for Newport Cricket Club in the South Wales Premier Cricket League and has come up through the ranks of the Glamorgan Pathway Programme, has had a stellar season with the bat, representing the Glamorgan U18s side who won the County One-Day Cup, Glamorgan 2nd XI and Wales National County.
Hope-Bell was part of the Glamorgan Academy who trained all winter at the Sophia Gardens Indoor School, and we are pleased that the hard work shown by Jack and the Glamorgan coaches have come to fruition. We wish Jack the very best for the two games at Beckenham.
