Glamorgan will play a series of intra-squad fixtures to prepare for the 2020 domestic season.
Starting on Tuesday, 21st July, there will be two T20 fixtures played, before a two-day game starting on from Thursday 23rd – Friday 24th July.
A full three-day match will start on Sunday, 26th July, and is scheduled to finish on Tuesday, 28th July, ahead of the start of the season on 1st August.
“We want to give as many of our players a chance to put their name forward for a place in the side, and we believe that these intra-squad games are the best preparation we can have for the season ahead”, said Director of Cricket, Mark Wallace.
“We can give more of the squad an opportunity than we would normally be able to in friendlies against other counties. We’ve got depth at the Club in a number of positions and there’s some strong competition for places.
“Playing both T20 and red-ball matches gives the guys a chance to showcase their different skills and get the team as prepared as possibly for the busy schedule.”
While all of these games will be played at Sophia Gardens, there will be no spectators permitted at the ground. The Club will not be streaming the T20s or the two-day game, but will be looking to test a new live-stream system during the three-day fixture.
