Glamorgan County Cricket Club and The Vale Resort have signed a new, mutually beneficial, three-year partnership deal which means the exclusive sport resort will become the club's official hotel partner.
As well as the joint marketing opportunities that the partnership will offer, The Vale Resort will extend its hospitality to visiting international and county teams in need of accommodation when they play at the SSE SWALEC Stadium. One of the first teams to benefit from the deal, Kent County Cricket Club, will stay at the resort during its five-day match against Glamorgan County Cricket Club in June.
Paul Beddoe, sales and marketing director at The Vale Resort, said: The Vale Resort is already the official hotel and training venue for the Welsh Rugby Union and training venue for the Football Association of Wales, as well as home to Cardiff City Football Club and Cardiff Blues.
A relationship with Glamorgan County Cricket Club is something that we have been keen on developing for some time and is the next natural step for us, very much adding to our position of attracting professional sports teams and providing world class sporting facilities.
The current set up within Glamorgan is exciting and dynamic, and we are delighted to be working alongside such a professional team, providing a first-class service to match their first-class performance.
Hugh Morris, chief executive and director of cricket at Glamorgan CCC, said: With The Vale Resort's reputation so closely tied to sporting and hospitality excellence, this partnership seemed a perfect fit. When teams and supporters visit The SSE SWALEC we pride ourselves on the warm welcome that they receive and we know that this an ethos shared by The Vale.
We look forward to building on our existing relationship and enjoying a successful partnership going forward.
