Glamorgan Chief Executive Hugh Morris has backed the England cricket team to triumph in the final of the ICC World Twenty20 in Kolkata on Sunday.
England brushed New Zealand aside in the semi-final and will now face West Indies in the tournament showpiece.
An explosive knock from opener Jason Roy laid the foundations of a successful run chase after Ben Stokes three-wicket haul restricted the Kiwis to 153/8.
The team performance against New Zealand was exceptional and it demonstrated how potent the England team are when the bowlers and batsmen fire at the same time, said Hugh.
We saw glimpses of the potential of the side in the group stage but this was by far the most complete team performance of the tournament so far.
West Indies will present a tough challenge in the final but England are blessed with so many match-winners that they have every reason to be positive about their chances of bringing back the trophy.
Hugh served as Managing Director of England Cricket during one of England's most successful periods with successive Ashes Series victories punctuated by success at the ICC World Twenty in 2010. England will become the first team to win the trophy twice if they prosper this weekend.
A successful England team is very important for the prosperity of cricket in England and Wales, said Hugh.
We're in the process of selling tickets for England's games against Sri Lanka and Pakistan in Cardiff this summer and we see a big spike in sales each time that England win.
The brand of cricket they are playing is so refreshing and we'll all be behind them on Sunday.
England will face Sri Lanka at The SSE SWALEC on Saturday 2 July while Pakistan visit the Welsh capital on Sunday 4 September. Adult tickets start at £35 while under 17s can secure seats for £10 click
