Head Coach Robert Croft has named an unchanged 14-man squad for Glamorgan’s penultimate group match in this year’s Vitality Blast.
Glamorgan had their five-match winning streak broken by Somerset on Sunday, but travel to Hove to play Sussex Sharks knowing a win will secure their place in the quarter-final stages for a third consecutive year.
Despite the defeat, vice-captain Chris Cooke is happy with Glamorgan’s position in the table, where they sit in 4th place in the table and able to clinch a spot in the knockout stages with victory on Tuesday.
“It’s in our hands, which if someone offered to us at the beginning of the season we would always take,” said Cooke.
“If we win one, or two of the next then we’re probably through so that’s a great position to be in.
“We’re playing some really good cricket but we just came up against a good Somerset side yesterday (Sunday).
“The boys are really looking forward to Tuesday under the cameras and I’m sure we’ll put a good performance in.
Sussex Sharks possess a potent bowling line-up, spearheaded by Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan but Cooke says Glamorgan will approach their innings in the same positive manner which has helpes them to fourth in the table.
“They’re a good side and have a very good bowling attack but they’re always a good side, especially at home so they will be a really tough team to come up against but we don’t fear anyone and I’m sure we’ll go down there and put in a good performance.”
