Glamorgan's LV= County Championship promotion push continues tomorrow against Essex and Head Coach Toby Radford has confirmed the travelling 12-man squad for the Chelmsford contest, which shows just one change with the return of Chris Cooke.
Despite missing out on a record fifth consecutive victory in red ball cricket last time out at Chesterfield, Glamorgan remain the only unbeaten team in Division Two ahead of the trip to play James Foster's team who will be keen to avenge their defeat in Cardiff earlier this season.
Essex are in their own run of good form having only lost once in the Championship since losing to Glamorgan back in May, and are expected to welcome back Tom Westley and David Masters from injury, whilst all-rounder Liam Dawson, on-loan from Hampshire, is set to make his home debut.
Having Chris Cooke come back to the group is a positive for us as he's been in good form this season, said Head Coach Toby Radford.
It was disappointing not to win against Sussex last night but that's a different competition and it's behind us now, plus if we win our final two games we've still a good chance of making progress.
In Championship cricket we've been playing very well and if we hadn't lost so much time out of the game at Derbyshire it might have been a different result last week.
While the first Investec Ashes Test Match is coming to a conclusion at Cardiff, Glamorgan have been on the road for a run of six away games which comes to an end this week with games against Essex and the T20 clash against Kent Spitfires on Friday night.
Glamorgan squad to play Essex at Chelmsford: Jacques Rudolph, Will Bragg, Colin Ingram, Chris Cooke, David Lloyd, Michael Hogan, Craig Meschede, Andrew Salter, Graham Wagg, Mark Wallace, Anuerin Donald, Ruaidhri Smith.
