Glamorgan Saddened by Recent Loss To Cricket

7 Jan 2016 | Cricket
Former Warwickshire bowler Tom Allin has died at the age of 28.
Allin spent six seasons at Warwickshire prior to his release in 2013 having also represented Cardiff MCCU and Devon.

He had returned to Devon to coach and represent his home county in minor counties cricket.

Our thoughts are with Tony and the rest of his family at this most difficult time, said Glamorgan Chief Executive Hugh Morris.

The untimely passing of Tom Allin, and Matt Hobden last week, is difficult for the cricket family to take.

Both players studied in Wales during their time with Cardiff MCCU and we were shocked and saddened to hear of their loss.

Tom's father Tony enjoyed a standout season for Glamorgan in 1976 taking 44 wickets in 13 first class matches but left the county after one season to work on the family dairy farm in North Devon.
