Glamorgan County Cricket Club joined forces with Pentyrch Cricket Club over the weekend to help the club prepare for the forthcoming season.
Glamorgan all-rounder Graham Wagg and batsman William Bragg, as well as Glamorgan staff attended the event which was part of the ECB’s NatWest Cricket Force project.
With the help of volunteers and local players, the Glamorgan team took on a range of jobs including landscaping and planting, gardening and clearing overgrown areas.
Community Development Manager at Glamorgan CCC and Cricket Wales, Mark Frost, said: "Cricket is one of the leading sports in Wales and with the success of our All Stars programme, where over 120 local clubs have signed up, it is more vital than ever that community facilities are maintained so we continue to grow the game in Wales.
“This is an important issue for all at Glamorgan so we were delighted to give Pentrych a helping hand as they prepare for the upcoming season. Cricketforce is one of ECB's most successful schemes and today's event has perfectly demonstrated how professional cricket and grassroots cricket can join forces to help benefit the game.”
