Head Coach Robert Croft has confirmed the 15-man squad for Finals Day will be unchanged from the one which comprehensively defeated Leicestershire Foxes in the quarter-finals of the NatWest T20 Blast.
Overseas signing David Miller remains in the squad after making a 6,000 mile trip from South Africa to Wales for the quarter-final win.
There is also room for five former Glamorgan academy graduates in the squad with Kiran Carlson, Aneurin Donald, Owen Morgan, Lukas Carey and Andrew Salter all coming through the system.
The Welsh County have not been to Finals Day since 2004, however are in a rich vein of form in the game’s shortest format having topped the south group and currently sit on a three-game winning streak in the NatWest T20 Blast.
Captain Jacques Rudolph will be playing his final game for Glamorgan in white-ball cricket having announced his retirement at the end of the year. The left-hander believes reaching Finals Day has been a few years in the making and a win would mark a fitting end to his long career.
“It’s a great opportunity for us and from a personal point of view it will be really special for me to win this trophy and end on a high,” said Rudolph.
“I think from a team perspective in the last three or four years we’ve built up quite a lot of momentum in one-day cricket.
“We’ve been to the quarter-finals three times and fortunately this year we’ve manged to sneak through, but I’m really looking forward to it so as a squad we’re pretty well prepared and hopefully we can bring some silverware back to Cardiff.”
Glamorgan face Warwickshire Bears in the first game of the day on Finals Day before a potential clash with either Hampshire or Notts Outlaws but Rudolph wants his side to focus on the semi-final.
“I think it’s important for us to concentrate on the semi-final otherwise we won’t get to the final. We’ll look at both games in isolation in terms of our preparation.
“We set up really well as team at this moment in time so hopefully we can get through that first match.”
