Head Coach Robert Croft has named an unchanged squad ahead of tomorrow’s NatWest T20 Blast contest with Gloucestershire at The Brightside ground, Bristol.
The clash live on Sky Sports pits Glamorgan with their nearest rivals, both geographically and in league standings, with Gloucestershire and Glamorgan both locked on seven points and two wins from the opening rounds, with the winners of Tuesday’s match set to leapfrog Surrey into first place.
New overseas signing David Miller is again set to make his debut for the Welsh County after Sunday’s clash with Essex Eagles was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
The big-hitting left-hander has just five games remaining with the club, however is determined to make a positive contribution to Glamorgan’s NatWest T20 Blast chances.
"It's exciting times,” said Miller, speaking on Sunday. “It may be a short little stint but hopefully I'll make an impact towards the team getting to the quarters and semis.
"You've got to crack on, no excuses, I arrived [Saturday], I feel pretty fresh but this is my career and you've got to make the most of it - wherever I do play, I just want to make an impact."
Miller is set to slot in to Glamorgan’s middle order alongside fellow South African Colin Ingram, who he has played with for South Africa and is looking forward to teaming up with him once again.
“Colin’s been doing exceptionally well in all formats and he’s a seriously good player. I played quite a bit with him in the early stage of my career for South Africa and looking forward to playing alongside him again."
Despite Ingram currently sitting top of the six-hitting charts in the NatWest T20 Blast for a second straight season, Miller believes he still is the bigger hitter.
“He hits a few long balls but I think I have him covered,” joked Miller.
