However, Hampshire beaten last Friday at the Ageas Bowl by the Kent Spitfires as Alex Blake posted a rapid fifty to turn the game on its head and inflict a five wicket defeat on

Hampshire narrowly defeated Glamorgan last summer in the Twenty20 competition, with the South Coast side winning by six runs to make amends for the defeat by the Welsh county in the opening round of games of the 2014 competition at the Ageas Bowl. However, the result at Cardiff could have been very different had Darren Sammy not been caught on the boundary's edge by Jimmy Adams just as the West Indian all-rounder looked like seeing Glamorgan to a home and away double.

Glamorgan will be looking to return to winning ways against the South Coast side, whom they defeated in June 2010 at The SWALEC Stadium by seven wickets, with Jim Allenby taking the honours as the all-rounder guided his side to victory.

Hampshire have a decent record in Twenty20 cricket at Glamorgan's headquarters having won the competition in 2012 when the SWALEC Stadium hosted Finals Day. After beating Somerset in the semi-final, they defeated the Yorkshire Carnegie in the floodlit final with left-arm seam bowler Chris Wood claiming 3/26 as the South Coast side won by ten runs.
