Glamorgan meet the Netherlands on Thursday, 4th July in a T20 friendly at Sophia Gardens starting at 2.30pm

This will be the first time that Glamorgan have met the Dutch side on Welsh soil and also their first-ever encounter in a T20 format. The Netherlands are currently are on a short tour of the UK with matches against Essex 2nd XI at Garon Park, Southend, as well as Gloucestershire at Bristol.
The two teams have met before twice with Glamorgan winning the game on 4th August 1995 in Rotterdam by four wickets. Peter Cantrell made an unbeaten 112 as the Dutch made 253-5 in their 50 overs before Glamorgan reached their target in the 49th over after 67 from Robert Croft followed by an unbeaten 80 from Matthew Maynard.
The second game between the two teams took place in Cape Town during Glamorgan’s pre-season visit to South Africa ahead of the 2009 domestic season. Glamorgan made 267-5 in their 50 overs with Gareth Rees making 60, Ben Wright 52 and Jamie Dalrymple 55. However, the Netherlands reached their target with two wickets in hand during the 48th over despite three wickets apiece for David Harrison and Dean Cosker.
