Glamorgan v Surrey FAQ

11 Aug 2019 | Cricket

Everyone at Glamorgan Cricket is looking forward to this afternoon's game against Surrey in the Vitality Blast. We've created a quick FAQ guide to answer your questions, should rain interrupt proceedings.

It is raining or looks like it is going to rain, will the game go ahead?

Until further notice, the match is going ahead as scheduled.

Where can I find the latest information if the start of the match is delayed? Or details of when play will restart?

@Glamcricket on Twitter is where we will be providing the main match updates, with any decision to delay the start or a restart being taken by the match officials who will then relay the message to us.

If it becomes necessary, when will a decision to abandon the match be made?

As per the tournament playing conditions, any decision to abandon a match rests solely with the match officials. Glamorgan Cricket have no control over this decision. The match officials will make every effort to have the match played, which may include reducing the number of overs per side.

What’s the minimum number of overs required for a match?

Both teams must bowl a minimum of five overs, unless a result has already been achieved.

Play has been restricted or the match has been abandoned; will I receive a refund on my ticket?

If play is restricted or does not take place at the ground on the day for which this ticket is valid, you may claim a refund of only the match ticket value subject to there being: 9.5 overs or less of the headline match of the day because of adverse weather conditions and no result is obtained - a full refund. In no other circumstances can money be refunded.

I have a season ticket, do I still get a refund?

No refund will be given to T20 season ticket holders if only one match is abandoned with no result obtained after less than 10 overs. However, a refund will be given at the end of the season - £8.50 per match abandoned with no result obtained after less than 10 overs for £60 T20 season ticket buyers and £10.00 per match for £75 T20 season ticket buyers thereafter.

I’m entitled to a refund, how will I receive this?

You will receive a full refund on your tickets by sending/returning them to the following address by September 6th 2019:

Ticketing Department
Glamorgan Cricket
Sophia Gardens
Cardiff
CF11 9XR

Refunds will be issued to the debit/credit card on which the tickets were ordered, or a cheque will be issued in the event of expired debit/credit cards or payments having been made by cheque or cash. Please allow 28 days from receipt of returned tickets for refunds to be processed.

I'd prefer to swap my ticket for a future Vitality Blast fixture. Is this possible?

You may exchange your tickets for those to another Vitality Blast group-stage fixture this season. This will be done at the ticket office next to Gate 2 on the relevant match day. Please note that there will be no partial refunds available; ticket exchanges will be treated as like-for-like replacements.
