The Welsh county have won two of their seven home T20 games against Surrey, with Glamorgan being victorious in July 2010 by 10 runs as well as June 2016 by nine wickets. However, as the list below shows, Surrey have won on their most recent two visits to Sophia Gardens in addition to winning the contest a few weeks ago at The Oval by five wickets.

20 June, 2014 at Sophia Gardens - Surrey won by 17 runs
26 June, 2015 at Sophia Gardens - Surrey won by 19 runs
24 June, 2016 at Sophia Gardens - Glamorgan won by 9 wickets
28 July, 2017 at Sophia Gardens - Match Abandoned
17 August, 2018 at Sophia Gardens - Surrey won by 24 runs (by the DLS Method)
11 August, 2019 at Sophia Gardens - Surrey won by 7 wickets

Glamorgan’s nine-wicket victory at Cardiff in 2016 followed a fine bowling and fielding performance with Dale Steyn, Dean Cosker and Graham Wagg each claiming two wickets apiece as Surrey were dismissed for 110, with Chris Cooke also making a stumping and taking four catches including one high above his head to remove Kumar Sangakkara who top-edged Michael Hogan during a frugal opening salvo. Colin Ingram then made an assertive fifty as he saw his adopted county to an emphatic win.

After the abandonment of the game at Sophia Gardens the following year, Surrey made amends by winning their next two matches on Welsh soil. In 2018 Aaron Finch bludgeoned an unbeaten 44 as Surrey raced to 60-0 in five overs to win a rain-shortened contest under the Duckworth Lewis Stern Method. The hard-hitting Australian was dismissed for nought in 2019 by Ruaidhri Smith, but fifty from Mark Stoneman - currently on loan with the Yorkshire Vikings – plus a half-century stand by Ben Foakes and Ollie Pope saw Surrey to a seven-wicket victory.
