Glamorgan welcome the Sussex Sharks to Swansea for their annual one-day match in the Royal London One-Day Cup at the St. Helen's ground, with the 50-overs contest scheduled to get underway on Wednesday, August 5th at 10.30am.
It's been a hectic ten days in the Royal London One-Day Cup for Glamorgan with the Welsh county currently in seventh place after their visit to Birmingham on Monday and losing to Warwickshire. The Sussex Sharks are in ninth place after losing to Middlesex on Monday evening by three runs in a high-scoring contest at Hove.
Jacques Rudolph's superb 169* was the highlight of last year's List A match between the two sides at Hove with his record-breaking efforts seeing Glamorgan to an emphatic victory by seven wickets.
The Sharks last visited Swansea for a one-day contest in July 2010 but on that day, the Welsh county prevailed as Glamorgan were victorious by three wickets after Dean Cosker claimed 4/33 and Jim Allenby had hit a half-century to see the Welsh county home.
Glamorgan were also victorious in June 2001 when the two sides met at the St. Helen's ground with Jimmy Maher making a typically assertive 71, supported by an unbeaten 52 from captain Steve James as Glamorgan recorded a six-victory victory en route to the Division Two title in the one-day competition.
Sussex's more recent win in a List A game against Glamorgan at Sussex came in July 1999 when they won a rain-affected contest under the Duckworth-Lewis Method by 88 runs with the late Umer Rashid claiming 5/24.
Tickets for the match will be available from gates 2, 5 and 8 at St Helen's and will be CASH ONLY.
