Good day for two former Glammy T20 specialists

Former Glamorgan T20 players Shaun Marsh and Nathan McCullum were both victorious this morning as they helped their national teams overcome opposition in the form of England and India respectively in One-Day Internationals
Marsh who appeared for Glamorgan during the rain affected 2012 campaign, top scored with 71 not out as Australia coasted to a 7-wicket victory in Sydney and a three-nil lead in the five match series as England's Ashes tour despair deepened.

McCullum who followed in his brother Brendon's footsteps by playing for Glamorgan, helped the Black Caps get their ODI series against India off to the perfect start with a 24-run victory, completing his ten overs as his teammates bowled India out, shy of their target total.

With the 2015 Cricket World Cup to be staged in New Zealand and Australia just over a year away, One-Day Internationals this summer are of greater significance as team's around the world step up their preparations and qualification for the finals.

Both England and India will hope for improved fortunes when they do battle this summer, with a five-match Test Series followed by five-match ODI campaign, the second of which will be played in Cardiff on Wednesday 27th August.

England are unbeaten in competitive matches in Cardiff, whilst India also enjoy playing in the Welsh capital with three victories under their belt last year en route to lifting the ICC Champions Trophy against England at Edgbaston.

England and India faced each other in 2011, with Jonny Bairstow delivering a match winning performance, despite India posted over 300 runs, a benchmark they matched on two subsequent occasions they have played in Wales.
