Alex Hales' sensational form in the one-day international series against South Africa has elevated him to the top of the England ODI MVP Rankings.
The opening batsman cracked a century and four fifties in the five 50-over matches, which the Proteas edged 3-2.
Hales has struck 554 runs at a strike rate of 88 per 100 balls in nine ODI knocks this winter, passing fifty on six occasions and contributing 21.79 per cent of England's runs.
Hales is nine points above Joe Root in the ODI rankings, but the Yorkshireman is way out in front in the overall standings.
Root, 43 points above Ben Stokes, scored back-to-back tons and a half-century in the ODIs.
Reece Topley has surged into the top five of the ODI rankings following his impressive breakthrough into the side.
The Hampshire left-arm seamer, with an economy rate of 5.25 runs per over, topped the wicket charts against South Africa with 10, giving him 16 for the winter.
