Speaking after Glamorgan dominated Day 4 against Gloucestershire in Newport, David Lloyd was full of praise for the fight his side showed in coming out with plenty to show for their efforts in the draw.
"I thought we were really good today," said Lloyd. "Conditions were tough but we stuck to our plans and then used those conditions well. We didn't get as many as we wanted but we set a reasonable total and I thought the bowlers were excellent.
"We thought we had a chance but it didn't go our way. We batted well yesterday to get to that position and then Bully and the seamers efforts were great.
"We were staring down the barrel after Day 2 but the way we turned things around, I can't praise the boys enough. It was good to see Nick Selman get runs, to see Marnus do well and Charlie gave us a good platform to work from.
"Chris brings us so much on the field and it's a shame to lose him, but I enjoyed the challenge of captaincy and I'll relish the opportunity at Derby."
