Community Development Manager at Glamorgan CCC and Cricket Wales, Mark Frost, said: "The ICC Champions Trophy is one of the biggest tournaments in cricket and it is fantastic for Cardiff to hold four of this year’s matches and see some of cricket’s biggest stars in action right on our doorstep.
“The trophy tour is a great opportunity for local communities and children to see the Trophies during the build-up to the tournament and start to get excited for the amazing cricket to come.
“Hopefully the tour and the ICC Champions Trophy will inspire new interest in the game across Wales for years to come.”
As well as allowing fans to get close to the two trophies, the tour will also celebrate local heroes and help them become champions. People can nominate anyone they think deserve to be recognised for their contribution to cricket and the wider community.
