Glamorgan Head Coach Robert Croft has named a 13-man squad for the trip to Surrey in the NatWest T20 Blast.
The squad sees the return of experienced left-arm spinner Dean Cosker and South African batsman Colin Ingram, who is back after a lengthy lay-off with a knee injury.
Young Welsh paceman Dewi Penrhyn Jones is also included and 19-year-old Aneurin Donald is in line to make his third T20 appearance for Glamorgan.
Captain Jacques Rudolph said the shorter format will provide a welcome change after Glamorgan's indifferent form in the Specsavers County Championship.
He said: "It does bring a new energy, we had a good T20 net the other day and you can see there’s a lot more vibe around our dressing room so I think it will be a nice mental break for the boys."
He also welcomed the return of compatriot Ingram, who is likely to slot in at Number 3 in the batting order.
“Colin is very excited to be back in the nets again and to be playing. He is an experienced player and it will be nice to have him back in the dressing room." Rudolph added.
Glamorgan will be without new overseas Dale Steyn for the match, with the quick bowler on IPL duty with the Gujarat Lions until at least May 27. But Rudolph was excited by the prospect of joining up with his former South Africa teammate.
He added: “Dale is a good friend of mine and we’ve played with and against each other for many years. He is a brilliant guy to have around the dressing room, he’s quite energetic and I think the change in format will be a good thing for us so I’m really excited by all of that."
Glamorgan squad: Jacques Rudolph (capt.), Mark Wallace, Chris Cooke, Colin Ingram, Aneurin Donald, David Lloyd, Graham Wagg, Craig Meschede, Andrew Salter, Michael Hogan, Timm van der Gugten, Dean Cosker, Dewi Penrhyn Jones.
Surrey's 13-man squad is: Gareth Batty(capt), Zafar Ansari, James Burke, Sam Curran, Tom Curran, Steven Davies, Ben Foakes, Azhar Mahmood, Stuart Meaker, Matthew Pillans, Jason Roy, Kumar Sangakkara, Dominic Sibley, Gary Wilson.
Glamorgan's T20 Blast clash with Surrey gets underway at 6.30pm tonight.
