Glamorgan's 25-run victory over Surrey at The Oval in the opening game in the NatWest T20 Blast saw a host of Club records being beaten on an evening when runs gushed like an Alpine river after snowmelt.
The second wicket stand of 141 in 12 overs between Colin Ingram and Jacques Rudolph was the highest-ever for any wicket for Glamorgan in the competition, beating the opening stand of 136 between Rudolph and Jim Allenby against Middlesex at Richmond in 2014. The previous best for the second wicket had been the 104 added by Rudolph and Murray Goodwin against Essex at the SWALEC Stadium last season.

Glamorgan's total of 240/3 was comfortably their best-ever in Twenty20 cricket, surpassing their score of 206/6 batting second against Somerset at Taunton in 2006. Their previous best batting first in the competition had been 193/7 also against the West Country side at Sophia Gardens in 2003 - a game they had lost by seven wickets.

The match aggregate of 455 runs was also the best-ever in the short format of the game in the U.K., beating the tally of 451 runs in the match in 2014 at Chelmsford between thre Essex Eagles and the Sussex Sharks. The previous highest in a Glamorgan match had been the 425 run aggregate at Taunton in 2006.

Dean Cosker's return of 4/30 was also the best-ever by a Glamorgan spinner in Twenty20 cricket, beating Robert Croft's analysis of 3/9 against Somerset at the SWALEC Stadium in 2011
