Australian all-rounder Marnus Labuschagne took 3/65 to help Glamorgan fight back on day one of their LV= County Championship match against Leicestershire.
After losing the toss and being put in to bat, the away side reached 152/1 before two run outs and Labuschagne’s leg-spin brought the Welsh county back into the game as Leicestershire finished the day on 285/8.
“I think it was a really good finish for us today, from the position we are in I think we have probably taken the day in the last session,” said Marnus.
“We would probably take 280, that wicket looks pretty good to bat on. There was not much pace, a little bit of nip there with the second new ball. But really happy with how we finished up today.
“It is really tough here to pick what the wicket will do. Sometimes the wicket looks like it will do more and does less and sometimes it looks like it will do less and does more.
“From a personal standpoint when you do put a side in you get a nice look at what is unfolding in the game and can adapt like we did today. They were 150 for one, kept the score down pretty good and we were able to take a few key wickets there through the middle and able to put more pressure on as the game went on.”
