Nick Selman's 78 helped guide Glamorgan to a six-wicket victory over Worcestershire Rapids in the final game of the 2020 Vitality Blast, alongside a half-century from David Lloyd and three final-over sixes from Dan Douthwaite.
Selman took Pat Brown for five successive boundaries in the powerplay along the way to a career-best tally, and said his side were 'really happy' to get the win.
“It was nice to get a few and get the boys over the line. As a team we were pretty pugnacious and it was really good to get a win and the boys were really happy.
“It was a pretty good wicket but myself and David knew if we could get off to a good start, then it was going to be a little bit easier."
Selman made the most of his opportunities late in the tournament as he finished as the side's 3rd highest run scorer, with 176 in his six innings, and believes he's done enough to secure a regular place and kick on in the format.
“It has been frustrating not playing consistently (in T20 cricket). I personally think it is one of my better formats even though I play a lot of red ball cricket.
“It was good to get a few and prove I can play in this format and hopefully in the future I can firstly start and be more consistent as well.”
