Klinger Praises Wagg and Hogan

12 Jun 2015 | Cricket
Gloucestershire batsman Michael Klinger was quick to praise the bowling of Glamorgan duo Michael Hogan and Graham Wagg following tight spells that allowed the Welsh county to successfully defend a total of 191/3.
Glamorgan won by 19 runs to condemn Klinger to a second defeat in 24 hours despite his second consecutive century.

We gave Glamorgan too much width and too man easy runs off their pads in the early part of the game, said Klinger.

Credit to them though as Graham Wagg and Michael Hogan executed their yorkers extremely well.

Gloucestershire won the toss and chose to bowl as an inaccurate forecast indicated a high probability of rain interruptions that failed to materialise.

We put them into bat because the forecast was for early rain but we played through drizzle, said Klinger.

Jacques would have done the same if he had won the toss because Duckworth-Lewis favours the team batting second when overs are lost.

The victory propels Glamorgan to fourth in the South Group of the NatWest T20 Blast ahead of Saturday's game against Somerset at The SSE SWALEC.
