As the list below of their last six List A matches shows, the Welsh county were victorious eight years ago when they last played a List A game at Leicester.
2 Sept 2003 at Sophia Gardens – Leicestershire won by 3 runs
9 Sept 2007 at Leicester - Leicestershire won by 115 runs
10 Aug 2008 at Colwyn Bay- Glamorgan won by 4 wkts
6 Sept 2009 at Leicester – Leicestershire won by 23 runs
19 June 2013 at Leicester- Glamorgan won by 34 runs
25 August 2013 at Swansea – Glamorgan won by 68 runs
Their victory at Grace Road in June 2013 was underpinned by a workmanlike batting and bowling performance, with both Chris Cooke and Mark Wallace posting combative half-centuries whilst Michael Hogan, supported by some sharp ground fielding, claimed three cheap wickets. The two Glamorgan batsmen also posted fifties in the return match at Swansea later in the season with Jim Allenby also taking three wickets against his former employers as the Welsh county eased to a more comfortable 68-run victory.
A youthful Glamorgan team had lost at Grace Road during September 2009 where, despite 78 from Will Bragg, a more experienced Leicestershire side held the upper hand with Wayne White taking 4/36 to see the East Midlands side to a 23-run victory.
However, Glamorgan had beaten the Foxes at Colwyn Bay in a record-breaking encounter in August 2008 as the Welsh county made 292 thanks to 81 from Mike Powell and an impish 48 off just 17 balls by Mark Wallace who struck 5 fours and 4 sixes as his side posted, what the time, was their highest-ever score batting second to win a Sunday League game.
