Lord's Taverners to raise funds during ODI match

Lord's Taverners Wales will be fundraising during the course of the Royal London One Day International match that is being played at the SWALEC Stadium next Wednesday.
We recently joined forces with Glamorgan Cricket in a partnership that will see a number of fundraising events and activities organised in an effort to raise vital funds.

We are now looking to utilise our latest partnership as England gear up to face current world champions India in one of this summer's biggest cricket matches.

The Lord's Taverners is the UK's leading youth cricket and disability sports charity and donates more than £3 million each year to help give young people, particularly those with special needs, a sporting chance.

Chairman of the Lord's Taverners Wales region Ed Meggitt, said: Working with such an established and well known association is an exciting opportunity for us, and one which we hope to continue and grow over the coming years.

I'm sure we can both benefit from each other's contacts and expertise and raise a lot of money for less privileged children; which is at the heart of what we do.

We're really pleased about the collection that's going to take place during the ODI match, and we hope that fans give generously!

The Royal London One Day International will take place at the Swalec Stadium, home to Glamorgan Cricket, on Wednesday 27th August
