Marking the start of the T20 season

29 May 2020 | Cricket

Ahead of Glamorgan's opening Vitality Blast fixtures this weekend which would have involved a Friday night visit to 'Fortress Chelmsford', followed by a visit from Surrey to Sophia Gardens on Sunday, we'd like to thank all our fans for their continued patience and steadfast support.

As the sun continues to shine, the irony hits strong, and much like everyone else, we're desperate to get out and enjoy the summer game we all love so much.

For the entertainment and the enjoyment of our fans, June will become a T20 celebration month for Glamorgan, as we look back at some of our favourite moments, games, innings and players of the T20 era so far. We're also looking at a number of ways to ensure these 'rewinds' to previous fixtures can be as entertaining as possible.

At Glamorgan, we're doing all we can ensure cricket in any form possible can be held at Sophia Gardens later this summer, and we continue to work closely with ECB on a number of variables. Our priority, of course, remains to ensure all our players and team of staff can return to work in a safe and secure manner and adheres to the guidance we are provided with to do so. We remain hopeful and optimistic that we will be able to enjoy watching cricket later this season.

As soon as a rearranged domestic programme is announced, we will outline the next steps for ticket purchasers. The Club will also be in contact with Members to confirm how this will affect memberships.

In regards to international tickets, further information will be shared when the international schedule is announced.

In the meantime, our ticket information page contains the latest information.

Once again, thanks again for your unwavering support to the Club, and please stay in touch on our social media channels.

Keep safe.
