All-rounder Craig Meschede has sustained a calf injury playing for Glamorgan 2nds against Hampshire 2nds at the Ageas Bowl\'s Nursey Ground.
Meschede suffered the injury whilst batting and had to be aided of the field by medical staff.
He underwent a medical scan yesterday (5th May) and Glamorgan are expecting the results early next week due to the Bank Holiday weekend.
Mark Rausa, Head Physiotherapist at Glamorgan Cricket, said: “Craig sustained a substantial calf injury and we are expecting a recovery period of between 4-6 weeks, but it could be as much as 8 weeks if the scan report shows a more severe injury.
“There will be a period of rehabilitation and he will be closely monitored by our medical team to ensure he gets back onto the field as soon as possible.”
