Glamorgan Cricket are pleased to confirm more junior match tickets are now available to purchase for the NatWest International T20 double header between England and Australia on August Bank Holiday Monday at The SSE SWALEC following high demand.
The majority of Category C tickets have now been sold as only singles remain, so in light of this demand, additional seats have been made available to families with Category B tickets in the Croeso Stand now available at the junior price category £10.
Tickets include access to see both the England Women versus Australia Southern Stars clash as well as the men's game, the only International T20 between the two sides during this Ashes summer.
Both the men's and women's Ashes series are currently tied at 1-1 after their opening two matches. The men's series saw an excitingly comprehensive victory for England at Cardiff, as Joe Root 's hundred set England on their way to a 1-0 lead. Unfortunately at Lord's, Australia produced an equally dominant performance to level the series with big scores from Chris Rogers and Steve Smith.
The women's series has followed a somewhat similar pattern albeit in a different format. The two 50-over matches have seen solid victories for both sides. In the First ODI at Taunton, England ran out winners by 4-wicket's thanks to a big partnership between Lydia Greenway and Natalie Sciver. Then at Bristol, Australia came roaring back with a 63 run win on the back of a hundred from skipper Meg Lanning. The points based system on which the women's Ashes series operate, currently sees the sides tied at 2 points apiece.
