This summer, Sophia Gardens Cardiff will host the world’s best cricketers as England play two international fixtures in Wales.
Australia return to Cardiff for the second of a five-match ODI Series on Saturday 16 June, the first time the Aussies have been back since the 2015 Ashes defeat to England.
Glamorgan’s overseas signing, Shaun Marsh is likely to feature for Australia after being recalled to the one-day team for the series.
The Welsh county then host India, who will be looking to retain their unbeaten record in Wales when they face England on Friday 6 July in their IT20.
This much-anticipated fixture will see Eoin Morgan’s side go head-to-head with Virat Kohli and his men, in what should be a fascinating encounter, with both line-ups littered with world-class talent.
Hugh Morris, Chief Executive at Glamorgan Cricket, said: “Over the last few years we have been fortunate to see some of the world’s best come to Wales and thrill crowds with exciting cricket.
“With the star-studded talent on show across these two fixtures I am sure this year will be no exception and we look forward to welcoming all three sides to Cardiff this summer.”
Tickets for the two internationals went on sale in October last year, in a synchronised ECB launch with venues across England and Wales and have sold out at record pace with only a few single tickets for the clashes now remaining.
“There is a real appetite for International cricket in Wales as shown by our crowds during last year’s Champions Trophy and our IT20, and the speed at which tickets have sold for these two stellar matches,” added Morris
“Our aim is to be the white-ball venue of choice and with our proven track record in selling out international matches for the fourth consecutive season, we are meeting that goal.
“We can’t wait for supporters to once again flock to Wales and to host another brilliant international cricket spectacle in the Welsh capital.”
