Tickets are still available for the first of the popular series of winter talks on Thursday, October 17th in the CC4 Museum of Welsh Cricket.
“The Boys of 1969”, starting at 7pm, will be a nostalgic look back fifty years to the Daffodil-golden summer of 1969 with Glamorgan’s second Championship title, plus the start of the John Player Sunday League.
The evening will include the reminiscences of Roger Davis, plus filmed interviews with other members of the Championship-winning squad as well as archive footage from the dramatic home games against Middlesex and Essex at Swansea, as well the title-clinching game against Worcestershire which saw Tony Lewis’ team lift the county crown on their home patch at Sophia Gardens.
Tickets in advance for “The Boys of 1969” cost £3 in advance for current Glamorgan members or £4 on the door for members on the night. For non-members, it’s £4 in advance or £5 on the door (Price includes complimentary tea and coffee).
