Glamorgan v Leicestershire Foxes
Where? The SSE SWALEC
When? 6.30pm on Wednesday 23 August with gates opening at 5pm
How? Glamorgan finished top of the South Group despite having four home matches abandoned due to rain. Jacques Rudolph’s men were terrific on the road ending with six wins from seven.
Meanwhile, Leicestershire qualified from the North Group after a tense final day victory over Nottinghamshire. The Outlaws looked on course to chase down the Foxes score of 203, but a fine final over by Mathew Pillans sent Leicestershire through.
Who? Watch out for Glamorgan’s Colin Ingram. There are not many people hitting a white ball better than Ingram at the moment. He struck 25 6s in the group stages and smashed two 100s.
Fast bowler Michael Hogan was also in sparkling for Glamorgan, taking 5/17 against Gloucestershire and 17 wickets in total throughout the group stage of the competition.
For Leicestershire, it has to be the competitions leading wicket taker, Clint McKay. He doesn’t have the pace he once did, but the Australian’s skilful mix of slower balls helped him to 22 wickets in the group stages.
