News From The Opposition: Derbyshire

Derbyshire Head Coach John Sadler has named a 13-man squad for the county\'s first visit to Colwyn Bay in 50 years on Sunday (starting at 11am).

The squad includes bowler Will Davis, who has returned from injury, as well as batsmen Wayne Madsen, Chesney Hughes, New Zealand ace Hamish Rutherford and captain Billy Godleman – who missed the return fixture in April due to injury.

The game is Derbyshire's first visit to the North Wales coast since 1966 and both sides will be hoping for warmer weather than the first Championship match between them, when a combination of rain, sleet and snow wiped out large portions of the encounter.

Hughes and Madsen have been the most prolific Derbyshre batsmen in four-day cricket this term. Hughes has smashed 664 runs at an average of more than 60, while Madsen is the visitors' top run scorer with 761 runs in nine matches, including four centuries and a high score of 163.

Here is the squad in full:

Billy Godleman, Hamish Rutherford, Chesney Hughes, Wayne Madsen, Neil Broom, Ben Slater, Shiv Thakor, Rob Hemmings, Matt Critchley, Harvey Hosein, Tony Palladino, Will Davis, Ben Cotton.

Glamorgan's Specsavers County Championship clash with Derbyshire gets underway at Colwyn Bay at 11am tomorrow.
