Yorkshire\'s Adam Lyth is gearing up for Thursday\'s quarter-final meeting with Glamorgan in Cardiff as the White Rose county name a 14-man squad for their trip to South Wales.
Lyth, who opened the batting for England against Australia in Cardiff last year, is part of a Yorkshire squad which is captained by Alex Lees.
Yorkshire won their last four group matches in a surge to the quarter-finals and Lyth was keen for their form to continue, as the visitors face a Glamorgan team which has lost just three matches in this season's T20 Blast.
It’s a huge game and I think we’ve done well in the last six or seven games in the competition,” he said. “Spirits are high and hopefully we can turn a good Glamorgan side over.
“Over the last few years we’ve not performed as well as we would have liked, but we’ve got ourselves on a roll now with a stable side. Lads are doing very well and if we play like we know we can then I’m sure we’ll turn them over.
“In the first few games in both the T20 and 50-over competition we didn’t look like winning. But now that we’re over the line we feel we can win any game in any situation and that’s great. We’ve got to play some good solid cricket down there and I’m sure we’ll do the business.”
Adil Rashid will be available to play for Yorkshire in the quarter-finals, after England named the same 11 that beat Pakistan in the Third Test, with the leg-spinner released by the national side.
He lines up alongside the likes of Lyth, Liam Plunkett, David Willey and Tim Bresnan, who all have all had international experience in recent years.
Yorkshire are without Joe Root, Gary Ballance, Jonny Bairstow and Travis Head for the match, with youngesters Ryan Gibson, Matthew Waite and Will Rhodes all included in the 14-man party named by Head Coach Jason Gillespie.
On the prospect of facing Glamorgan in the Welsh county's backyard, Lyth said: "We’ve not played against them that much and we don’t really play down there so it’s a bit new.
"Obviously with all the analysts now we have our plans. We know Jacques Rudolph very well and how he goes about captaining and playing himself. All we can do is do what works for us and hopefully we’ll come out on top."
