Opposition One To Watch: Chris Jordan

8 Jun 2016 | Cricket
Glamorgan continue their Royal London One-Day Cup campaign when they host Sussex today on the back of their 52-run win over Gloucestershire on Monday. To maintain their good form they will have to be at their best to deal with England fast bowler Chris Jordan, who lines up for the opposition today.

Jordan has recently returned to Sussex from the IPL where he played for the Royal Challengers Bangalore. He moved to Sussex in 2013 and immediately flourished as the bright spark he was thought of as a teenager.

He took 6 for 48 on debut against Yorkshire, his first-class best figures, and was among the leading wicket-takers in the County Championship, passing fifty wickets for the first time.

Jordan is known for his yorker and scalped 6 wickets in the 2016 ICC World T20 and helped England reach the finals of the tournament.

He has represented England in all formats of the game, his most recent appearance coming in April of this year at the T20 World Cup against the West Indies, where he failed to take a wicket as England lost in the final, having seemed in a position to go on and clinch victory.

He will provide the Glamorgan batting line-up with a tough afternoon if he plays to his abilities.
