Dale Steyn and Timm van der Gugten return to the Glamorgan squad to play Somerset tonight in front of the Sky Sports cameras at The Cooper Associates County Ground, Taunton (5.30pm).
In a week when all the talk is about Wales v England, Glamorgan, as ever, face their own crucial challenges against opposition from the other side of the bridge this week, with a trip to Taunton tonight followed by a second T20 clash in three days as they take on Kent Spitfires under the lights at The SSE SWALEC on Friday.
Following the end of the first half of Royal London One Day Cup group matches, the return to NatWest T20 Blast action is a welcome one as it's another competition in which Glamorgan have started impressively, with the Welsh county sitting top of the South Pool groups in both tournaments at this early stage.
With wins against Surrey and Gloucestershire already in the bag, Glamorgan will hope to keep up their 100% record on the road in this year's NatWest T20 Blast tonight and repeat last year's success over their West country opponents, when Colin Ingram was once again outstanding.
Mark Wallace, James Kettleborough, Nick Selman and Ruaidhri Smith are amongst the first team squad players about to start day two of their 2nd XI clash with Somerset at Newport this morning, with Glamorgan resuming on 405-3, so they are unavailable tonight, but Head Coach Robert Croft can at least call upon his pace pair to join the attack for tonight's T20.
Steyn and van der Gugten have shown the damage they can cause opponents and with Chris Gayle always keen to put on a show in front of the TV cameras, tonight is sure to be box office.
After suffering only a second defeat in eight white ball contests this season against Middlesex last night, Glamorgan Jacques Rudolph is targeting a return to winning ways.
"We have a perfect opportunity to bounce back at Somerset. It’s a great place to play T20 cricket," said Rudolph, "I think it’s a sell-out down at Taunton so we’re looking forward to the challenge and it should be a really exciting game for the spectators.
"All in all I'm happy with the way we're playing at the moment. We’ve started playing better cricket as a collective and hopefully that can continue."
