Glamorgan are aiming to bounce back from their defeat to Somerset when they take on Essex Eagles at The SSE SWALEC tomorrow (Sunday 7 May), 11am scheduled start.
After beginning their Royal London One-Day Cup campaign with victory over the 2015 champions Gloucestershire at Bristol, the Welsh county have crashed to defeat in three successive matches to Surrey, Sussex and Somerset.
Chasing 339 to win on Friday, Glamorgan were bowled out for 168 with teenager Kiran Carlson top scoring with 63 runs off 59 balls.
Glamorgan have named an unchanged 14-man squad for the visit of Essex Eagles – with young Welsh players Lukas Carey, Owen Morgan and Andrew Salter retained in the squad after missing the clash with Somerset.
"We’ve done a lot of preparation,” said Kiran Carlson “and we’re not going to change much in our process. It’s more about getting the little things right and as soon as that happens and we get one good win, then we can get on a roll."
Timm van der Gugten made his return to action on Friday and Will Bragg scored his first runs of in the first team this season as both continue their return from injury. Graham Wagg remains sidelined and although Ruaidhri Smith returned for the Second XI this week he is not expected to start bowling again until next week.
