Glamorgan red-ball captain Michael Hogan led from the front claiming 5/49. The team dismissed Middlesex for 194 shortly after lunch on day 3 to claim maximum bowling points.
Timm van der Gugten achieved 4/63 in his first Specsavers County Championship match of 2018 and Lukas Carey took 1/48.
“It was a good day for the bowlers. There is a bit of nibble in the wicket and the overhead conditions helped too,” said Michael Hogan.
“The five wickets at Lord’s is a nice little landmark. It is my first four-day game here. It was a nice joust with Timmy [van der Gugten] to get the fifer and I got a nice reception from the long room on the way in afterwards too. It’s something I will always remember.
“We were struggling a bit against Tim Murtagh, but that is the type of wicket it was, more seam than swing. It was an ideal surface for him where he can nip it down the hill. Tim has been doing that for years hasn’t he.”
