Seam bowler Ruaidhri Smith claimed career-best figures of 5-87 against Durham, however the away side are still in a commanding position going into day three.
Glamorgan started the morning session well and quickly had Durham six wickets down before new overseas signing Axar Patel made 95 not out on debut to steer Durham to 295 all out. The Welsh county then subsided to 79/7, a deficit of 62.
"It wasn't a great day for the team and it would have been nicer to get my first five-for in a stronger position for the team," said Smith. "Pleased to get my first one, and I'll look back on it with pride, I think I've bowled better in the past but it was my day today with the ball.
"It's been overcast the whole game, Lees and Patel batted very well, and it was a shame we couldn't get a better start but hopefully we'll get past their score.
"The more games I've played, the more comfortable I feel bowling and it's just gone on from there, getting more overs under my belt in a season uninterrupted by injuries, which has been a big thing for me."
