Derbyshire ended day two of their Specsavers County Championship against Glamorgan 207/3, after dismissing the home side for 283 shortly before lunch.
Andrew Salter enjoyed day two with both bat and ball, after finishing the innings with an unbeaten 72 and took two of the three Derbyshire wickets.
“It started off with the sun shining in Swansea, which was pleasant from a batting point of view to get some early runs. Wicket played nice this morning.”
“It was hard work with the ball, with full credit to Prep [Sisodiya] with how he bowled today, with a great economy rate and kept it tight. It allowed the seam bowlers to come in and give some bursts where they could. A hard day’s work in the field"
“I think its situational on how the wickets playing. It’s a slightly softer wicket, so from a bowling point of view we bowled nice tight lines, which was one of our methods to go about it. It was tricky for us when we batted first with overcast conditions. Today, with the sun, it favoured the batsman.
“From my experience of playing in Swansea, things can happen quite quickly. There are patches of play, where you do pick up those wickets. When and if they do come, it’s about keeping the pressure and building on it and get back batting.”
