Glamorgan captain Jacques Rudolph will miss the next two LV= County Championship matches to attend the birth of his child back in South Africa.
The Welsh county have a two-week break before they complete their season with three Division Two matches with Rudolph missing the home game against Kent (September 9-12) and the visit to Northamptonshire (September 14-17) before returning for the final match against Gloucestershire in Bristol (September 22-25).
We've got three games left, one at home, but unfortunately I'm going to miss two of them since my wife (Terri-Lee) is expecting our first-born so I'm going to fly back at the beginning of September, confirmed Rudolph.
Rudolph was talking after helping Glamorgan salvage a draw with league leaders Lancashire at Old Trafford after the South Africa's stubborn 63 off 206 balls in 244 minutes.
It was nice to spend some time in the middle on a wicket which provided the spinners with quite a bit of turn, added Rudolph.
Chris Cooke batted unbelievably well and we have done the best we could from a bad situation to get away with a draw.
Unfortunately I got out before the end but it's nice not to have lost another game but as a team we want to take things forward, look at the big picture and where we want to be.
In the next couple of years we want to play first division cricket and against strong opposition like this you've got to try and find ways to get yourself into winning positions and unfortunately in this game, with the way we batted in the first innings we didn't do that.
