Andrew Salter believes Glamorgan can get their first County Championship win of the season under their belts against Kent next week.
Salter returned to the Glamorgan first-team to take three wickets against Derbyshire. And the off-spinner was in confident mood ahead of a second successive away trip for the Welsh county.
He said: "It was good to get back in the fold. Everyone's enjoying each other's company at the moment and it's now about pushing on and getting a win. I think we can and I actually think we will.
"Kent are a good team and they've got some dangerous players, but then so do we."
Having sat out of Glamorgan's Specsavers County Championship opener against Leicestershire, Salter was happy to be back in the first team, albeit in freezing cold conditions in the East Midlands.
Salter added: "It was very cold and not ideal to come off with all the rain and snow, but it gave Timm (van der Gugten) the opportunity to do some snow angels on the outfield which I think he relished.
"In terms of the cricket though, I thought we played some good cricket at times but we could have perhaps been more ruthless."
Salter's figures of 3/56 at Derby included the prize scalps of Derbyshire top-scorers Wayne Madsen and Ben Salter.
He said: "I was just happy to have the opportunity to play - I always feel like I play better in match situations as it gets the juices flowing.
"It's always tough in the pre-season for spinners but I just wanted to get out there put on the Glamorgan shirt and play."
Salter will be hoping for warmer conditions in Cantebury starting on Sunday, when he is likely to feature again as the Welsh county's frontline spin option.
