Glamorgan 2nds defeated Somerset in back to back T20s at Taunton Vale today to follow up on their success against Worcestershire.

Glamorgan may sit top of the South group with three wins on the road despite suffering bad weather in Cardiff, but second team players are pushing their claims for selection, with Smith and Selman in particular displaying their form.

In the first game Ruaidhri picked up three wickets (3-32) inside two overs to restrict the hosts to 170, before hitting 36 off 19 batting at three to support Selman’s unbeaten half century and 32 from Band as Glamorgan won by 5 wickets with three balls to spare.

In the second game Smith scored 53 off 25 as Glamorgan again chased down the target of 172. Carey picked up two more wickets (2-34) matched by Kieran Bull (2-25). Glamorgan's top four batsmen all contributed to the chase, with Selman (58) again unbeaten, putting on 60 with Lawler, 62 with Smith and 50 with Brand as the Welsh county reached their target with 9 balls to spare and 8 wickets in hand.
