The last two Sundays at Cardiff have seen Glamorgan’s lower order establish some record List A batting partnerships during their games in the Royal London One-Day Cup.
Yesterday, Billy Root and Marchant de Lange added an unbeaten 113 for the eighth wicket against Surrey at Sophia Gardens beating the Club’s previous best for that wicket in List A cricket which was 113 by Matthew Maynard and Alex Wharf against Northamptonshire at Northampton in 2004.
Last Sunday against Somerset at Sophia Gardens, Lukas Carey and Timm van der Gugten added 57 for the tenth wicket – the Welsh county’s best in List A cricket beating the 45 added by Mike Powell and Owen Parkin against the West Country side at Cardiff in 2002.
