White-ball captain Colin Ingram ended the 2018 Vitality Blast as Glamorgan’s leading run scorer with a seasonal aggregate of 430 runs at a healthy average of 53.75. During the match against Hampshire at Sophia Gardens, Colin also passed Jacques Rudolph’s Club record aggregate of 1657 runs in T20 cricket, with Colin’s tally now standing at 1770.
On the bowling front, Timm van der Gugten was Glamorgan’s leading wicket-taker in the competition this summer with 19 wickets at 22 runs apiece and a best haul of 4/31 against Middlesex at Richmond. This game also saw Ruaidhri Smith produce Glamorgan’s best bowling figures of the summer in the Vitality Blast, taking 4/6 on his 24th birthday.
Craig Meschede also enjoyed a successful campaign in the T20 competition, with the all-rounder scoring a career-best 77* against Gloucestershire at Sophia Gardens as well as returning Glamorgan-best bowling figures of 3/21 in the game against Hampshire, also at Cardiff.
