Some of the world’s top darts players will do battle at the home of Glamorgan Cricket in January when The Foster’s Icons of Darts returns for a fifth staging.
The greatest darts player of all time, Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor will make his first appearance at Sophia Gardens and is joined by fellow great Raymond Van Barneveld, one of the game’s great characters Wayne Mardle and up and coming Welshman, Jamie Lewis on Friday, 17th January for an evening of sporting entertainment.
The top-quality quartet will compete in a tournament, while fans will also get the chance to take on their darting heroes on stage.
Taylor is a 16-time World Champion, with 214 professional wins including 85 major victories, and is undoubtedly the greatest player the sport has ever seen.
Van Barneveld is himself a true great of the game, and has won an incredible five World Championship titles.
Jamie Lewis is the current world number 26, while Mardle is an unmistakable figure in the sport and has become a popular TV personality.
A night at the darts is widely regarded as the best night out in sport and the line-up for this event makes for a superb evening, combining fun and sporting excellence.
