Timm van der Gugten celebrated a strong \'collective\' Glamorgan performance that blew Surrey away in the Welsh county\'s opening match in the NatWest T20 Blast.
The Dutchman took 4/14 to reduce Surrey to 93 all out, as Glamorgan's bowlers ran riot in front of a packed crowd at The Kia Oval.
Craig Meschede and Dean Cosker took two wickets apeice and Jacques Rudolph hit an unbeaten 34 to guide Glamorgan to victory in 12 overs.
Van der Gugten – who took a maiden County Championship five-for earlier in the week against Essex – reflected on a job well done after the sensational bowling performance.
He said: "We bowled well as a collective and hopefully we can knock these runs off pretty quickly."
Glamorgan did just that, with Man Of The Match van der Gugten the main difference between the sides.
He added: "It's tough to bowl in the power play in T20 but when the batsmen come at you like they did today, it can create opportunities.
"It was a great performance by the team especially after our start in Championship cricket, it was great to get the win here.
"It's a little different (in T20) and the wicket was a bit two-paced. I've really enjoyed my time at Glamorgan and hopefully now we can get a few more wins."
Glamorgan's next T20 Blast match is against Essex at The SSE SWALEC, Cardiff. Tickets available here.
